CHICAGO – February 25, 2013  Corradeo Consulting, LLC announced the publication of “The Going Rates for System Integration Services for Manufacturing and Processing Companies”, a new research report authored by Founder and Principal Analyst, Cherri J Schmidt.  This report provides an evaluation of the current rates used within the system integration industry for providing services on a contract basis to manufacturing and processing companies in the U.S. market. 

Using publicly available information for the 2012-2013 timeframe, more than 400 individual position descriptions and associated rates from 26 companies were analyzed.  A total of 29 representative positions in the ten most common service roles have been included in the report.  For each position, the report provides the typical range of experience, the average published rate for that position, the range of rates, and the average annual salary.  The report reveals:

“While all of the roles are important for delivering a completed system, the analysis clearly revealed that customers are willing to pay more for those roles that add substantial value to both the completed system and to the customer experience with the service provider.  The analysis also revealed that rates that are above average can be achieved when there is a true source of differentiation from the competitors.”

The report includes a discussion of the drivers that support rates that are higher than the average.   According to Ms. Schmidt, “I anticipate that system integrators will be able to use the report to evaluate their current rate structures and make the adjustments needed to better align their rates and services.  I also anticipate that manufacturing and processing companies will be able to use the report to better evaluate the rates that are being offered for specific projects.”
